Blake was raised in Irvine, CA, and attended USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. He worked for Laura Ziskin, Peter Segal, and Casey La Scala, who championed his aspirations to become a director. His award winning feature film, BENEATH THE SURFACE, caught the eye of Sean Cunningham (Friday the 13th), who brought Blake in as his assistant, then creative executive at Crystal Lake Entertainment.

Currently, Blake is directing and producing a wide range of content. He recently directed the feature thriller, ONE OF US and director shadowed on The CW’s SUPERGIRL. He has a wife, two sons, three daughters (one in heaven), and an NHRA drag racing license.
